Safety Issues - broken holds

Posted on May 18, 2009 at 9:23 AM

Even very strong hold can be broken, from one reason or another. We made some experimentswith silicone based hold containing reinforced natural rubber fibres. If thistype of hold breaks (we used hammer) it does not fall from the wall, and there areno dangerous pieces falling down. We did not use the net of composite fibres, like some companies (HRT) do, but made elastic fibres to be a homogenous partof climbing hold.
